About the comic
The story
Reversed is a fantasy story where you'll follow the footsteps of Nat, a self-taught magician who travels around the continent of Eifron hoping to become an entertainer, and Mitch, a shapeshifter feline who has lost everything in life, hoping to see their lost brother once again. The two might cross paths and uncover the dark history of Nat's own family of magicians, the Hayame, responsible for releasing the worst evils into the world.
Such evils of the night are now lurking in the shadows, creatures known as Husks swallow all sources of life to strengthen themselves, causing fear for the rest of the population during decades. However, in recent years, the Husks are increasing in numbers, becoming more apparent even during daytime. It's clear someone or something is pulling the strings behind the scenes, even though the King of the Husks was supposed to have been slayed years ago…
The world
Eifron is a vast continent inhabited by many livings, including humanoids, shapeshifters and feral creatures. Each group live by their own rules, with various degrees of agreement. Some of them coexist together, while others live in recluse areas.
Ancestrals: the native beings of Eifron. Colossal creatures that had tremendous strength and control over nature and elements. They are extinct in the current timeline.
Feral beings: the descendants of the Ancestrals. They can only attain a fraction of their original selves and currently occupy many spaces in Eifron. They are divided into Feral groups, livings that live true to their original selves, keeping their feral or sometimes monstrous shapes intact, along with a culture of traditionalism and little contact with other groups. The other side are the Shapeshifters, a branch of the feral beings that decided to coexist with humanoids, and over time attain forms more closely compatible with them.
Humanoids: the invader species that rapidly increased their numbers over time. Their origin is uncertain, but the accepted theory is that they come from creatures known as mages, that travelled through space and time. They could absorb the sun's energy and turn it into magic. After consuming most of their planet's energy, they began seeking a new place to extract. The current humanoids may be descendants of this species, as they also are able to manipulate the energy of the sun, however specific training is necessary, which is why through time many magician schools have spawned as means to keep the magic knowledge alive.
Husks: creatures that are deemed to be the remnants of a demon that inhabited Eifron centuries ago. The so-called King of the Husks terrorized the region with their mighty power, seeking utter dominance. The King was finally murdered by a Tribe of Ferals in the North area, and after this event the Husks either disappeared or diminished by themselves. However in recent years they've resurfaced, gradually gaining more power as time goes by. They often have low intellect, acting solely based on instinct. It is spread that they are aggressive, seeking to sap the livings' own life energy to survive, since they lack their own.
The creator

Hi, this is Mike. I'm the artist behind this webcomic! I'm also the developer of this site and a programmer.
This comic is a story that lived with me since my childhood, one that talks about my experiences, and something that I've poured a lot of myself onto. Naturally a lot has changed since then, some characters left, others stayed, others changed a fair bit, but the essence is there. It is a dream of mine to be able to one day complete this project, but life hasn't been easy in the past few years.
That said, I decided to reboot from my original 2017 comic mainly because of inconsistencies and clashes of ideas that made me lose my motivation to keep working on the old project. This new project keeps some core characters but changes the setting and other key elements to better accommodate the new ideas I have in mind. Because of that, the old pages have been archived, but if you're interested you can find them here. This project will contain a lot of experimentation, since I want to play around with formats, from comics to texts, minigames and other interactable formats.
